New Glass Block Windows Installed at Local Golf Club

The Irish Handyman, Inc was commissioned to replace individual glass blocks that had been broken over the years in an extremely large window facing the golf course. The Irish Handyman was able to source and obtain blocks closely matching the original blocks. We also installed brand new windows in the men's and ladie's locker rooms as well as an additional window incorporating an existing vent. A beautiful job for a beautiful local golf club!

Yes, the top 3 photos are the "BEFORE". The kitchen was not a disaster by any means, but it was very dated, and not in the style, that the homeowners preferred. The homeowners wanted a contemporary look with traditional elements and that is exactly what they achieved!

What they did:
Moved the cabinets up the wall a few inches to the ceiling, added crown molding.
Had a custom "L" shaped storage bench installed around the eat in dining area.
Painted all of the cabinets, cabinet boxes and trim a bright white.
Painted the walls a beautiful light neutral color.
Installed absolute black "honed" granite counter tops.
Installed black and white checkerboard porcelain 12 x 12 tiles.
Installed new classic hardware on the cabinets.
Installed new vintage style light fixtures.
Removed the old appliances and replaced with top of the line stainless steel.
Replaced the over the range microwave with an industrial ventilation hood.

The Irish Handyman Replaces Outdated Jacuzzi Tub Tile Surround with Luxury Glass and Stone

This project was the continuation of the luxury bath project detailed below. After the water closet, shower area was completed the home owner decided that they wanted the entire master bath to flow nicely with the same high end stone and glass materials through out.

In this project we replaced all of the gold fixtures with shiny chrome, gutted the entire ledge, step and floor surrounding the tub and rebuilt the step and surround installing the floor, step risers and top of the tub with stone tiles while installing complimentary mosaic stone tiles on the face of the step, installing a solid one piece step made of crema marfil honed marble and finished off the back splash area with the complimentary turquoise glass subway tiles installed vertically with a honed marble bull nose. Beautiful!

The Irish Handyman Installs Custom Designed Tile and Glass Block Shower Room in Chicago's South Suburbs

This shower/toilet room was completely gutted, reconfigured, designed and installed. The beautiful natural stone tile with mosaic and glass inlay was selected by the client and combined beautifully with the custom built glass block wall shower enclosure. This new shower/toilet area nicely complements and refreshes the entire bath including the existing and adjacent dressing room/jacuzzi tub, double sink area.
